Description

The Firebox series is the only UL-recognized housing that is designed to maintain the fire rating in the ceiling in which it is installed. This 6" high wattage recessed light housing features 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts for rigid conduit or BX fittings, knockout free integral Romex clamps, and an access door in the housing for field inspection of wiring.

The universal, junction box has snap-out sides, a grounding pigtail, overspray protection, and six pieces of UL-classified fire-resistant gypsum board attached to the recessed housing. The housing is notched for chalk line alignment for easier installation and adjusts to fit ceiling from 1/2" to 2-1/2" thick. For use in new construction applications. Fits into 2 x 10 construction.
